The government will never reduce its spending – this is simply out of question. Raising taxes won’t be popular (except if they raise taxes for big businesses only) and I don’t see this happening either. So the only way out seems to be printing more money and devaluing the dollar further – not a pretty picture.

Someone is going to have to take the reins and either raise taxes or massively reduce spending. The Bush administration certainly hasn’t been successful doing either of those two things. This idea that it will be a free party where we get tax rebates and spend uncontrollably on wars and wall street rescue plans is taking our country the way of the Romans. I think it’s going to have to be a combination of both more taxes and massively reducing spending. The value of the dollar is suffering at the incompetence that is ruling our country. Both Democrats and Republicans need to get a clue.

Why when everyone else is cutting back there spending does the government increase theirs? And it’ll only get worse if the Democrats take the White House and raise taxes.

Jail – what a novel idea. While technically not “illegal”, what they did was steal money from taxpayers while collecting millions in rewards. Someone needs to be held accountable other than us, the regular guy. Thanks for the link!
