I watched a great interview with JD Roth from Get Rich Slowly today. I was surprised to find out the interviewer was Ramit’s brother. I have to say I was impressed with Maneesh’s questions and he’s clearly an intelligent guy. So, now I’ve subscribed and will keep my eye on Maneesh’s site (Hack the System). In what is becoming a very commons occurrence in the US, Bank of America announced that it will be freezing it’s pension plans for existing employees starting in July. This means that worker’s pensions will only pay out whatever they’ve accrued until July. Regardless of whether you think the banks are part of the problem or if each person is responsible for their own situations, it’s still interesting to see what people are saying. People write down on a piece of paper what their situation is (and they are pretty much all dire situations) and then take a picture of themselves
I don’t know which side of the fence you sit on when it comes to CEO’s compensation levels. I happen to think most CEO’s are overpaid. Throw as many arrows as you’d like at me but I think a lot of CEO’s could learn a lot from Costco CEO Jim Sinegal. He makes a very good living but he also “get’s it”. Anyway, Business Insider

I love Netflix. It’s a key part of my cable-less strategy. We use their streaming service about 95% of the time and never seem to find the time to watch the one DVD that we have at any point.
